Simple Things!!!!!

Since becoming parents we have begun to enjoy the simple things in the everyday. Like seeing diggers on the side of the road or walking slowly to the car after church. Jae-min definately knows how to enjoy the simple things in life.
He has enjoyed feeding the ducks and walking through the park...... He has enjoyed blowing bubbles in the front yard and stomping on them........
He has enjoyed watching planes fly by in the sky..................
To spend an afternoon with Jae-min is to slow down and smell the roses. He definately puts a different perspective on life!!!!!

Mr. Handyman!!!

Do you have something in your house that needs afixin? We have just the guy to do it!!!!Jae-min loves his toolbelt and fixing things with his hammer. He's so sweet and knows what things he can "fix" and what things we don't "fix". For example the other night he was walking around with 2 hammers looking for something broken. Well, Marty walked into his vision and Jae-min thought "Hey he needs afixin"!!! Before we knew it Jae-min hammered Marty on the back. But then the cutest thing happened. He put down both hammers, walked over to the dog and gave him a big hug. He was then all done with fixin for the night. What a sweet sweet boy!!!
So...if you have something that needs a fixin give us a call. We think he'll work for coco's(cookies) or maybe Melmo's (Elmo's). You'll have to strike that bargain!!!

...Gotcha.....And Happy Family Day!!!!!

Yesterday the 3 of us celebrated our gotcha day, one year since Jae-min was placed in our arms forever!!! The look on his omma's face as she pushed me into the cab and waved goodbye came flooding back. That was the longest night of all our lives after returning to the hotel and settling in. That was the first test of parenthood and we survived!!! Gotcha Jae-min, and we'll keep you forever!!!Tonight we celebrated our family day, the day we flew home and introuduced Jae-min to our family. We had a small party with cake and ice cream with family and friends. Jae-min had a ball playing and being silly and eating cake Yum. Ryan attended and the boys are beginning to play together which is so cute.
Happy family day our sweet son. We love you more and more each day!!

.....And Then He Became Real.....

I remember every part of that day, the day when we held, and layed eyes on our son!!!! I remember how many layers of clothing he had on. I remember that he had a scarf wrapped around his neck, which we later found out was to help with his drool. I remember that his sweater said Happy. I remember his omma's face and how she chatted with our social worker while we played and loved on our son. I remember how she interacted with Jae-min and how he lit up when she spoke. I also remember arriving 30 min early to Holt and waiting in that room to meet our son. That half hour felt like it went on forever. I remember how then we were surprised when the door opened and in walked our social worker, Jae-min's omma, and Jae-min. I remember being so taken aback that we didn't get any pictures or video of that entrance, although it is forever etched in my mind.
I remember this day so vividly because this is the day I became a mother!!! I watched in total awe as Joe became a dad. To us, this was our "delivery" room. He was just delivered to us by some wonderful wonderful people!!!!

Our Journey Began.....

One year ago today we boarded this plane headed for Seoul Korea. Headed to meet our son!!!I remember that day so vividly. The nerves, the excitement, the anticipation, the fear. The sights, sounds, and smells are forever etched into my brain. We knew our lives would change forever once we stepped on that plane, but we never imagined how wonderful it would be!!! The LONG flight was uneventful and to this day I am still proud of myself for doing it!!! But I now know why I had that inner strength.... because we were flying to meet you................
I have been thinking alot about our trip lately and what an amazing experience it was!!! I wish we could do it all over again, and we'd do it the same exact way!!!
So, one year ago we were flying over the ocean to experience our son's country and to hold him for the first time. Up up and away!!!! We knew we already loved you Jae-min, we just didn't know how much!!!!
